A Piano Solo Series of Seasonal Hymns

We continue to discover absolutely marvelous piano arrangers. A new discovery of ours is Cindy Berry who has created a series of books that presents separate volumes of hymns for use throughout the year, exquisitely arranged for solo piano. The voice leading and chord structures are easily played on organ as well. Cindy is a church musician who always thought there should be a series of solos for playing throughout the year, one volume for every two months, with appropriate hymns for each liturgical season. Be sure to see all six volumes for the entire year offered at a special discount price. So she created the series herself.
The books are graded as Late Intermediate, but they are easily approachable and have a beautiful sound. Cindy is one of those gifted people who can write straight ahead, no nonsense, very easy to learn arrangements that make us sound so good. All are clearly engraved with three measures to a staff for easy reading. Church musicians love these. You will too because they are simply fun to play, elegant sounding, and inspirational at the same time. The entire series is Late Intermediate.

Testimonials

  • I would like to let Mrs. Lienhard know that I think her musical arrangements are fantastic! I am studying Jazz in Tampa, Florida, and am currently studying some of her arrangements. My teacher thought that Mrs. Lienhard's arrangements were a cut above, one step beyond, George Shearing's works! Hey, I've loved Shearing's recordings and transcriptions for years! She is definitely, one step beyond! I just wanted to let you know! -Tom L.
